And good evening my faithful readers! This week I decided to talk about a particular topic but which is as important as the rest (or more) for a student who comes to live here (student or not) : The nightclubs. According to me, Dumfries has 2 nightclubs in the center that are easily accessible. I do not have a car here, so I do not know those who are off center, so I will not talk about it. The two I'm talking about are Chancers & Le Venue. They are both quite different, in my opinion, in terms of music and atmosphere. First of all let's talk about opening hours. The Chancers is open every day from 10pm to 3am while the Venue is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 8pm to 3am. It is composed of a ground floor with a bar and a floor with a bar also. One of the questions that comes up the most when I speak with Scots is “Why are you here in Dumfries?” It’s true that it’s not Glasgow or Edinburgh and it’s much less known, but I’ll explain why.
